Red Beard Hot Sauce was born right here in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia, a place where great food, great mates, and a few cold beers often inspire the best ideas in Australian hot sauce.  

It all started one evening around the kitchen table, as we enjoyed some beers and discussed what to do with the Thai chillies growing abundantly in our backyard. This led us to craft our own handcrafted hot sauce, using fresh ingredients and lots of passion.  

What began as a simple homemade sauce quickly turned into something much larger. Friends and family couldn’t get enough, and soon, our creation was being shared at BBQs, gatherings, and local pubs. The positive feedback was overwhelming—it even passed the ultimate Aussie pub test, establishing it as a true small batch success.  

That first bottle ignited a journey that we’re incredibly proud of. Today, Red Beard Hot Sauce has grown into a collection of 11 unique handcrafted sauces, each showcasing its distinct flavor and personality. From mild and fruity to seriously fiery, every bottle reflects the same commitment to quality and flavor that sparked our adventure in the stunning Hunter Valley.  

We take pride in calling the Hunter Valley our home, and we're even more excited to share a bit of it with every bottle we produce.
